Strata technique
Technique:
It is a very thin electromagnetic vibration to strengthen the sphincter muscle at the bottom of the esophagus to strengthen it to be able to prevent acid reflux into the esophagus.
When to use:
- Patients who do not fully respond to antiacids.
- who do not tolerate antibiotics.
- Chronic acid reflux patients who do not want surgery.
- The occurrence of reflux after the sleeve gastrectomy.
- Reflux after gastric bypass surgery to treat reflux (hiatal hernia operation).
- Reflux that did not lead to ulcers yet.
- Silent reflux of the pharynx and larynx.

How is it performed:
- A regular gastroscope is inserted to confirm the diagnosis and the
- location of the sphincter muscle at the bottom of the esophagus, then we remove the scope.
- Vibrations are given to various areas of the sphincter muscle at the bottom of the esophagus, which leads to its strengthening.
- We take out the tube and then insert the stomatoscope for one minute examination.
Patient stay:
The patient stays for several hours after waking up from anesthesia, then goes home and needs rest for two days.
Possible complications:-
Complications are considered rare, including: bleeding and difficulty belching, bloating, chest pain, fever and superficial wounds in the esophagus, and others.
Results:
- High success rate of 86%.
- Disposal of drugs for 4 years.
- Getting rid of symptoms for a period of between 4-10 years.
- The complication rate is less than 1%.
Results over 10 years:
70%: return to normal life.
64% of patients reduce their use of antacids to less than 50%.
41% of patients do not take antacids at all after the operation.
