Hemorrhoids

Causes of hemorrhoids:
Hemorrhoids swell for several reasons, the most important of which is the lack of fiber in the food we eat, which leads to chronic constipation and difficulty in excreting, in addition to a lazy life and pressure on the colon during excretion, or because of standing for a long time. He forces them to pressure and force him to complete the excretion process quickly. It has also been found that the misuse of medicines to treat constipation or diarrhea may lead to the emergence of hemorrhoids. There are even families whose members have an enlarged hemorrhoid.

Choosing the right treatment:

After completing all the examinations, the doctor puts his diagnosis and discusses with the patient his vision for treatment. If the matter is limited to enlarged hemorrhoids, then its treatment varies between changing the quality of food and performing surgery according to each case. In general, there are three degrees of treatment:

  • Treatment at home.
    Treatment in the doctor’s office.
    Hospital treatment.

External hemorrhoids:
Clotted external hemorrhoids can be treated in the doctor’s office, where the hemorrhoid area is locally anesthetized, and the doctor makes a small incision through which the clotted hemorrhoid is removed.

Internal hemorrhoids:
There are many ways to treat hemorrhoids in a non-surgical manner, but they all have a common effect on the hemorrhoid, by causing temporary inflammation later on to get rid of the blood vessels in each hemorrhoid, which results in the disappearance of all symptoms, and this treatment is done by affecting the hemorrhoids mechanically, chemically or thermally.

Hemorrhoidal ligation:
It is a kind of mechanical treatment for internal hemorrhoids. It is done for hemorrhoids of the first or second degree only, and it does not require anesthesia or preparation of a special kind, and the patient resumes his normal activity immediately after ligation.

The last step is to see a doctor:
It is likely that the patient will not need to see a doctor at all after the operation if you do not encounter any problems, but it is better for the doctor to follow up on the progress of the case and prescribe treatment for complications that may appear.
